The council presented me with a bill for unpaid council tax for £38.20 for 2007. So I phone to enquire about this -final notice with no previous notices, two years on? And they tell me that there is an outstanding amount of o£350-something for that period, for ‘recalculation of benefit’. I never claimed benefit (two of my flatmates at the time did, if I remember correctly) and they’re long since gone from this place. No matter, I have to pay that amount, they say, even though it is a bill that largely has nothing to do with me. I should imagine it would be impossible to recover those ‘recalculated benefits’ from those two flat-mates (one of whom may be reading this). I really didn’t need this at this point, grr.

Whatever. He (she? it?) probably doesn’t exist. I’m not sure how the message is supposed to be reassuring and that you can get on with enjoying your life, but, hey.

Last year I seem to remember I had accommodation (but no ticket) but couldn’t make it as the summer was slow and I had some unexpected expenditures. It is looking very similar this year, except I have ticket but no accommodation. But it looks like, once again, I cannot make it, the same story again with a very slow summer and a couple of very big unexpected expenditures. I’m too skint and I will be severely out of pocket by the end of the month even without Infest, so...

Soo, I have an Infest ticket that I’ll have to sell. If you want it, it’s cover price at £45. Won’t charge you postage if I have to mail it to you, but collection in person is always better.
