Echoes of Flavio's Ghost Dreaming

The first Hampstead Alternative Picnic of the Year took place last Saturday, it was a lot of fun, a lovely event even though the weather was threatening on the day -and it did rain a little bit towards the end.

• Claudia’s birthday picnic in Regent’s Park (facebook) Part 1 and Part 2

• Maggie/Dayner B’day drinks at the Big Red last Saturday (no pics of Dayner..)

• Jake’s Birthday jam (as in music) at the Old Crown, Sunday evening.

Yesterday brought two of the expected four lessons, a reading by my friend Tania Glyde of her book Cleaning Up at the Big Green bookshop in Wood Green, Then Sluts’ meet at the Big Red. All good.

Today, lunch with Tania, rehearsal later with noondaydemon and, much later, maybe French Kiss and possibly Inferno....

Well, that was a very odd night at the Orwell last night....

... Happy Birthday, ninshubur !! Hope it was a very good one!

ION, today, apart from just two lessons, brought lunch at Mario’s with bellajonez, which was very good, and wander around Camden and coffee with atr0pine, which was excellent. And some doodling in the new Garageband, which produced a cheesy rock-by-numbers number which was fun to do but which you are not going to hear. Ever. And not a lot more. Tomorrow will be a bit more hectic.... still wondering whether to go to the Sluts’ meet at the Tup or Dead Letter Office (weren’t they supposed to conflate? What happened there?)

[ Edit ] No, this morning I checked -oh, ok, I stumbled onto the fact that iDLO is next week not today. And then of course Psyche reminded me -cough-

’Dead Letter Office’ at the Orwell was quite good last night, if perhaps a little less packed than the previous one. It was good to catch up with a few folk I see less often than I would like to.

And there was cake. On which note, Happy Birthday, cyberpunkgrrl!! -whose birthday cake it was.

I took a few pictures that may or may not come up at a later point.

Not sure what there may be tonight, if anything. I should probably stay in and save a few pennies, in any case. Having said that, though....
