Took a lot of pictures in Whitby at the WGW; mostly bad of course, although I do like some.

Have put several albums on facebook:
Perhaps a bit much, I know. Should stick to the 24 shots in a 135 mm film...

... and back to normal. Whitby was very good but I would have liked to have seen some of the fringe stuff. You can't be everywhere at once, though. I had a very good time, even though I didn't go to any after-parties (still ended up staying up all night talking to my re-discovered friend in Venezuela, on the magic box).

There will be pictures -slowly coming out, as I took too many and expect to have a rather busy week. For now, I put some pics of Thursday evening in this facebook album; mostly a few people at the Elsinore and some I took on Friday daytime, mostly for the benefit of people back in Vz who asked me about the town and the fest.

I need more coffee and then I need to go to school.

The sound is not very good (big understatement) due to me recording this on cheap camcorder. Of course you can always go and buy their DVD:)

... The footie. I hate all spectators' sports and I particularly dislike football mass culture. Yet I had a whole lot of fun at the match yesterday between the Real Gothic and Athletico (sic) Gazette. It makes a difference, I s'pose, if you know a few of the people involved out there on the field, and perhaps more than half the people in the audience... I expect I'll be there next time I go to Whitby.

Just this minute. Very tired. Half an hour's nap, shower, then lessons, then getting up at 6:00 am. Unless I won the lottery, let me check... hm, no, I didn't play so it was going to be a little unlikely.

Whitby was very good.

So, I wasn't that drunk, didn't imagine it, I did see this... )

Here's one of the two videos I took of 'Rome Burns' , [livejournal.com profile] toripink's band (or one of them, she's also with SBA), at the Whitby Gothic Weekend. Yes, the sound quality of the recording is not very good terrible, since it was done with a cheap camcorder's microphone .It is just a memory of a good gig, though, and of an extremely good week-end.

Ok, here are some of my pictures from the WGW April 2007, that is, last week-end. There are about 230 photos, so perhaps too many to see in one sitting. I will endeavour this time to put captions and names, especially since I'm so rubbish at remembering people's names, etc, but it will take a while. A couple of instances of repeated or very similar pictures are some that I did by request, so the people who requested them can have a look and download them (they are mostly 800x600, full multi-megawatt versions available on request).

I took it a little easier this time, but it still was a blast.

You're very welcome to gank the pictures, but of course it'd be nice if you credit the provenance of the photo. thanks.

Quickly between lessons....

Just back a short while ago from Whitby. Quite tired after the long drive -of which I suspect that every speed camera along the way now knows me. I did manage to sleep six hours last night, though. A more detailed report will follow at some point when I'm not both busy and dead tired. Some highlights for me included [livejournal.com profile] toripink's band Rome Burns and [livejournal.com profile] inferis's band D.U.S.T., as well as innumerable moments at the pub (or one or other of the pubs) with the usual suspects, laughing at jokes that at any other occcasion would have made me cringe... Amongst the things I did not do this time: climb up to the Abbey, particularly not in the middle of the night under the influence of alcohol, etc,

Photos will follow when I get a chance to sort the more than 1200 pics I took -most are rubbish, of course, but it still needs to be done....

Well, this is Whitby, again, after a long time. The drive here went quite smoothly, we made about 5 1/2 hours. I spent some time at the Elsinore, inevitably, tried to have a peek at the Little Angel but it was rammed and when I went back to the Elsie it was impossible to get in so we went to the Endeavour, where I met ... way too many people to list.... special mention , though, to [livejournal.com profile] miss_amethyst and [livejournal.com profile] rainbowskye who I hadn't seen for a long time.. drank quite a bit but feel quite fresh today -well, I didn't go to any after-parties but came back 'home' as I was a bit tired from the drive and not enough sleep the night before.

Let's see what today brings...
