First of all: I'm allowing these LJ posts to appear in Facebook. This has already resulted in an anonymous comment -not offensive or anything, just something in Spanish apparently telling me off for 'not doing anything about the Venezuelan situation'. Well, I've lived for 23 years some seven thousand km away in a different reality with different problems in my life. I am too far away to really know what's going on and make judgments. And I am not for or against the regime. If you cannot live with that then maybe I shouldn't be on your friends' list. And I have to put this here as I cannot reply to the comment as it was anonymous (being logged in in facebook doesn't mean I can see who you are from livejournal). Next time please let me know who you are.
On reading this again, boy, it sounds a bit grumpy doesn't it. I 'm getting cantankerous in my old age (to come;P). I didn't mean it like that. Really:).
ION, I'm at the Literary Café again, croissant and coffee watching the grey grey soggy London morning outside. I love it....

After finishing
aliasrob 's lesson, the last one of the evening, went to the local Japanese restaurant (recommended) for a bibimbad... struck conversation with a girl, part of a family having dinner, who had a Nikon D5000 camera -they turned out to be a half-Itailan, half -English family who live in Sabine, north of Rome and sing in a choir specialising in folk music from Italy and Eastern Europe and we had a long conversation about music making , Italy, Venezuela and photography. As they left we found ourselves chatting with a couple at another table who asked about the music conversation they'd overheard. They themselves turned out to be musicians, singer-songwriters and he is or has been a classical guitarist.

Have been absorbed in the nightmarish developments of getting the flat, beginning to find too late why it was a really bad idea (like the parking thing), etc. So I haven’t been out much, haven’t been taking pictures much either.

all these are Facebook albums.
- A couple of weeks ago, already, <user name=“londonjon” site=livejournal.com>’s birthday at Spaghi in Archway.

- A little walk down the South Bank during the Thames Festival.

all these are Facebook albums.
- With Tania and Roger in Hampstead Heath, plus weird toy shop in Gospel Oak

- Picnic in Waterlow Park, 15-08-09
I just saw this woman with baby pram at a pedestrian crossing, running at speed.. into a blind man coming the other way. And looking at him with anger -he didn't fall but did stumble a bit and most have been wondering what hit him. Luckily I don't think he cares much about other people's visual expressions....
IO better and completely unrelated news, Happy Birthday,
bluehelen!!!
