A busy busy day finally comes to an end. Last lesson finished a little while ago. Five lessons and a trillion errands today. And that long rant about First Utility, the story of which has been slowly unfolding for the whole time I've been in this flat and it does not get better; we'll see what they come up with next. On my side of things, it'll probably be BBC R4 'You and Yours' next. I hate that sort of thing but it might have to be done. There's other problems, perhaps more important ones, in my life but that is such a pain, such an absurd one never going away and always impossibly, unfeasibly getting worse.
Apart from that.. bought a blender. There might be a lot of soup in my immediate future that will need it (but not tonight, no soup today).

Learning to cook for myself I tried to use a pressure cooker to make stew. But found it turned most of my stews into a pulpy soup. With a little mashing they sufficed as a decent soup. I like soup in the winter but most British vegetable soups are bland and insipid especially those without some meat!
