Echoes of Flavio's Ghost Dreaming

Went to the Big Red last night to meet a friend, we had a good time. By 'good time', I mean we had to shout at each other to be able to have a conversation, she eventually started messaging me on Facebook even though we were sitting next to each other, while a covers' band was belting out some 1970's rock song I hadn't heard since about then. We eventually gave up and left.

I have this love/hate relationship with rock pubs -mostly hate, last night. They more often are places where they serve you expensive bad beer in glasses of questionable cleanliness, with a scowl and where you have to shout to have a conversation. In that, I know I feel differently to some who still may read this, but that is how it is for me. I go to those places because people I know and like do but I don't really enjoy them.

Nicking the subject title from myriadofsins's style as I was going to comment on the nice gathering at the Thursday gothsluts' meet for her birthday drinks last night. Good bunch of peeps, nice atmosphere at the Coronet, which is a Wetherspoon's pub so the food was completely forgettable but then, so was the price.

Many thanks to alohura and voofy for their help and work!. Now looking forward to my sister + friend arriving in London on Monday. I may have found somewhere to stay, which is also good. Today, no lessons but I do have a lot of errands and things of the sort to get through. Tonight, the annual dinner of the u.c.s.m. Usenet UK mac group (yes, some people still use usenet, even if uk.people.gothic is all but dead in spite of the efforts by dmh ). Then, probably a drink at Departure for a bit.
