Well, so that was another year, and another new year celebration. Of course it is a convention and doesn't have any intrinsic meaning; nothing really starts on the First of January but we do need markers and rituals to mark them. And so we do...
In my case, that involved going first to Glampires at the Hope and Anchor to go see Manuskript play and see a bunch of people I only seem to see these days at this time of the year. Then I went to the Slimelight, where there was another band (having missed the main one, She Past Away, which I was curious about but did want to see
analogueheart's band for the first time in quite a few years.
At about 4 o'clock I decided I'd had enough, went home and slept 11 hours. New Year Day was another non-day although not quite as much of a blank as Boxing Day.
