A lady stopped me on the street ‘you must be flavio, I follow you on instagram, your pictures of Kentish Town sunsets are so beautiful’ that made me walk in the air for a bit 🙂

The guy at Bean About Town, the coffee stall in the little plaza at Kentish Town Station had asked me to 'bring a guitar' today, so I did. Played a couple of pieces by Barrios, some Bach lute pieces and a version of 'Here Comes the Sun' -and there was some interest and applause, with people stopping to listen in spite of the loud street ambient noise. Maybe I should do that once in a while.. and hand out flyers for lessons/guitar performing..

Went to Mario's café here down Kentish Town Road, was going to just put one of my guitar lesson flyers on their board; had a fruit juice and started conversation, commenting on the week, mention expensive car disaster and, as compensation, was going to mention the concert, "you know Pink Floyd-The Wall..." and Mario says "Woot, did you go? That was amazing, wasn't it" And we ended up in a sing-along with me playing the battered old dreadnought guitar that normally lives on their wall and them singing, "There is no pain, you are receding... a distant ship's smoke on the horizon..."

At the Map Music cafe in Kentish Town, with an old gentleman providing gentle live music on a keyboard, a nice veggie lasagne and salad (the salad was better than the lasagna, can't believe I said that), a lovely gentle atmosphere while it drizzles outside.

Ok, the heaviest bit of the week over now. The getting up at six and being on the M1 at 7 is getting heavier all the time -is it possible that I may be getting older?. I cannot give up that school in Watford, though. Not at this point, at any rate. And I'm kind of happy there and, in spite of all, have a very good group of victims er, pupils, on the whole.
Today I finally made it to the local tiny Italian restaurant, Delicious ( http://deliciousfoodfromitaly.co.uk ) and, whatever my expectations were, given the odd idea of putting dry pasta as decoration on the window, it was very good. I can recommend it, it was very nom nom. I like living in this part of town, have I mentioned that? Apart from the little problemette I have mentioned rather too often..
I still haven't looked at the Budget. Lemme guess... tax on petrol, booze and smoke, what else...
