sinbadsilk about the oncoming TV series here (including preview of the first episode, which looks good), have started reading the first book of the Songs of Ice and Fire by G R R Martin (who is grrm here in lj). Not too bad so far, although in the usual mould of that sort of thing: sort of medieval fantasy in made up continent with made up history. Very well written (for my liking of those things, of course), enjoying it thus far.
