Ok, so the good this week, by a very long way, was seeing Roger Waters do The Wall. The bad was my car dying on me and me having to cancel a number of guitar lessons because of this -without a car I just cannot keep my normal train of work on certain days of the week. And I don't always get to choose when the pupil is going to have the lesson, the pupil does and I have to accommodate -and thus I need a car. The last of which I saw was as it wobbled away in the back of a tow-truck ... and the last I heard about was when my mechanic phoned me (now, did you get this? He phoned me. Mechanics, like plumbers, are important people that are most often too busy to return your calls) to tell me that THIS WAS GOING TO COST ME.

All of which of course is costly and annoying and inconvenient but hardly a tragedy. A heart attack would be a much more serious thing; a car problem, expensive and all, is not. It is, however, that: annoying and quite costly and very inconvenient, in my circumstance.
