Point taken and you are right. But it would seem to be the case that those pressure groups have far more say and influence there than here. It is not a fair comparison but to carry on with the analogy, it would be inconceivable to have somebody from the BNP or with sympathies for those policies running for office here. It certainly would not be inconceivable to have a creationist running for office in the USA. We may even have one at the moment.
