picnic pick nick

 Picnic season arrived early this year, it would seem. Yesterday in Clissold Park for _abby_ 's and gothique1 's birthdays (well, amongst others; it was a quadruple birthday celebration). Today to Hampstead Heath for Consuelo's Easter Goth picnic. There'll be pictures, at least of those who don't get upset at seeing themselves photographed (there were a couple of those yesterday).

25 Abandoned Communist-era Monuments that look like they came from the future....  or some possible future that never was, at any rate; slowly being eaten by the elements in former Yugoslavia. I find many of them strikingly beautiful.. and there is a kind of melancholy to them.
