So... did the world end? It looks gloomy enough out there today.
One lesson done today. Then see whether my guitar is repaired for real this time. Tonight there are various alternatives, might pop in at Invocation at the Minories for a bit, or the Slimes. Ought to do so if I want to get a ticket for the latter for NYE.
Still sort of bouncing after the exam results of my pupils who did ABRSM grade exams. Not that many this time but they all did very very well, which I'm quite pleased about. These were all adult learners, too, which is a good reminder that you don't have to be 8 years of age to take up music. And, exams of course are not the important thing here but the fact that it can enrich your life -and they're not right for everybody, but they can be useful as a sort of level indicator, as a spur to work on the material and bring it up to the standard required to a set date, and a morale and confidence boost when it goes well.
