early morning blues

I don't know whether I've mentioned how much I like*  getting up in the dark, going on the M1 in the rain, in a cloud of heavy lorry spray.... spending quality time getting acquainted with traffic jams in Watford first thing in the morning...  Have I? Perhaps once or twice? 

* Not very. It has to be done, you do it. There's far worse in life and I'm very lucky really in so many ways. But, bleaurgh...

Not practical. On Tuesdays I would have to give up a couple of local lessons in Watford that I do after school, as they are not that easy to get to. In any case, I would be trading driving in the rain for a long walk in the rain. I know which one is less awful.
