one more little thing..

When I came back last night I found one of the two panes of glass in the front door smashed. It is 'safety' glass, the sort you have in car windscreens so it didn't blow in but held shattered in the usual spider-web pattern. Will have to talk to the agency first thing tomorrow morning.

Gah! sounds like you're living situation is a nightmare? Have you already spoken to the agency? The sharing thing - over it. I'm paying a bloody stupid amount of money for a studio that's pretty much the size of my bedroom in the last place - it's tiny. But it's just me - my noise, my mess, my choice of company or not. Can't do it for long before I bankrupt myself but oooh the relief. Hope things get sorted

Precisely the reason why I'm putting myself through that mill of, and fighting so hard for, trying to buy that little shared-ownership flat, even though my chances are infinitesimal.

And if not, I'll be in a situation like yours: I'll be out of here renting a tiny studio somewhere a little further out, paying much more than I would for the flat I'm trying to buy. But I can't live like this.

The glass thing, by the way, is only incidental, nothing to do with the bad sharing situation with james in this flat, but it adds to the stress, for sure.

Saw this and thought of you. Not that I'm assuming you have hundreds of thousands in savings squirrelled away, just the whole human element of mortgages and living...
