Ok, installed in new flat, surrounded by a million cardboard boxes. A pile of stuff still at the old flat, which ended up left in an incredible mess which I'll have to wade through, sort and tidy up before I leave.

No solution to the parking problem yet. People keep coming with Street-Car clubs, the 'get a bicycle, you'll be healthier' (I won't; never been on a bike, would be dead in minutes and in any case it is not practical in my particular circumstance). Someone said 'get a motorbike, then'. Err..

If you didn't see me at any of the clubs in the last couple of days, it's because I wasn't there. I was completely knackered after all that box shifting, drinking hectolitres of fruit juice and having long hot baths. Clearly, exercise is bad for you:P

I have to say tenkewtenkewtenkew to redd_foxx, atr0pine, ninja_badger and bellajonez (well, some of these are not using their journals so might not read this, but nonetheless), as well as Ozzy of the Slimelight for amazing help.

Flat is lovely, apart from the parking nightmare, and I like it.

A qué parte de Londres te has mudado?

Estoy todavía en la misma zona, Kentish Town en Camden, incluso en la misma zona demarcada para estacionamiento, lo que hace mas irritante lo de que no me den permiso de parqueo de residente (sin el cual es muy dificil tener coche en Londres). ¿Has estado en Londres?

El apartamento en si me gusta mucho, es chirriquitito pero esta bien puesto y esta bien para mi.

Tenkew! I tis a nightmare as I need the car for work, without it I would lose over a third of my income -and not be able to afford the flat. It doesn't look likely that I'll get a resident's parking permit no matter what I do, but I can see possibilities for other solutions that I will be exploring.
