Grendel

So, soon when people discuss Beowulf they won't be referring to the origins of English literature and myths or the influence of Scandinavian legends in it, but to he trivia of a movie that, judging by the trailer at least, is bad and full of bad CGI..

Well, Neil Gaiman is involved, so I have some hope that it'll be worthwhile. But we'll see...

It's got some good names behind it, so I'm reserving judgment till I see it.

Personally, considering how little the story is taught in the English-speaking world these days, I think even a bad film might encourage people to seek out the origins of the story.

And hey, it could be worse, they could have arranged a product-placement deal with Kronenbourg and renamed it Beer-Wolf. ;)
