out of my window, london in the rain...

A rather quiet week-end, apart from a short sortie to Tenebrae at the Minories last night. Well, not that short in that if I came back early, before 2:00 I think, also arrived early at about 10 pm.

On Friday I had the pleasure of the company of suicideally and chris_damage for dinner; the usual Venezuelan fare which is one of the few things I know I can cook well: refried black beans (nothing to do whatsoever with the stuff they give you in tex-mex places), plantains and cassava in a number of different ways, arepas and, as you cannot get any Venezuelan white cheeses in this part of the world for love or money, fried halloumi. And a few bottles of wine and one of Veuve Clicquot that had been lying around for a while disappeared.

Today, a few lessons and continue catching up with Babylon 5 while I do scales on the guitar or something.

sunday evening

Lots of lessons today; it was the birthday of the wife of my pupil  for the last lesson  so I stayed in for a glass of wine and a slice of cake and a bit of chat which, they being Italian, was mostly about music and art and about what chances Berlusconi would be kicked out of power and how much he deserves to be kicked out....

Now half an episode of Babylon 5 with a glass of rum & coke  and then probably pillow. I'm becoming quite domesticated in my old age....
